New race procedure for IROC races with more than 6 drivers

In the past, if we had over 6 drivers present for an IROC class, we would split them into groups A, B, C, etc. based on qualifying times.

We now have a new, better system for dealing with 7 or more IROC drivers which bundles everyone into a single group. We do this by having the same number of races as drivers, however each driver only does 6 races. Here's how it works:

The fastest 6 qualifiers drive the first race. For the second race, the driver on the 6th driver station steps out and drivers on station 1 to 5 move down one position. Station 1 is taken by the 7th qualifier. This is repeated until all drivers have driven each of the six cars.

This way everyone races with the same group and gets the same points for each finishing position. No more group B reduced points and lots more fun and interest in the races. So far we've don this at both of our 2015 events and it's been a blast!

GG,

Its too bad this new & exhilarating racing method wasn't done in the earlier iroc days ... because it may have helped keep the not racing (anymore) guys interested to this present day.

All the same - as interesting as the 6 IRCO (PC, LS, FTC, MC, NSS & SGTC) classes was & compared to how they are now (MGT, MC, NSS & SGTC), its great to know things went from strength to strength :)

Also, thinking you may have plans with the - FRC Rules & Class Regs - under this section FERRARI TEAM CHALLENGE COMPETITION REGULATIONS ... which is sort of unused/not raced anymore.

Suggestion

Maybe to change/restyle to:

FRC MGT, MC, NSS & SGTC IROC COMPETITION REGULATIONS ...

... with six plus (6+) drivers present @ IROC Events.

You know what's great as well about this new iroc racing system GG ...

Knowing when there are 9 persons present for nine races:

There will always be 6 drivers & 3 marshals for every one of the nine races.

So lets say, when there are 6 persons present for six races ~ how about:

There will always be 4 drivers (competing) & 2 marshals (much needed) for every one of the six races.

I thought of this during the day and letting you know here.

What's up Gary .. :?:

Actually, I sort of forgot about that but kind of now remembering it more like this - PUSHHHING !!! the Button ... :D

The 6 drivers, 6 races and (controllers + powerbase) PTBs ~ I believe it wont be the norm ... because have a feeling, the buttons on the powerbase (for so many track calls) may get hollow-eyed.
