My two latest home-built cars

Hi Guys,

I spent a fair part of this weekend just about finishing my Triumph TR4A for Historic Saloon and building my rally car, a Subaru Impreza. Here are the specs and some pics:

Triumph TR4A

Body: 1/32 scale plastic Airfix assembly kit, unpainted
Chassis: MRRC Cobra
Front axle, wheels and tyres: Scalextric Cortina
Rear axle, wheels, tyres and gear: Scalextric Cortina
Motor: Scalextric 18,000 RPM FC130 (standard Scalextric motor), front mounted, inline
Driveshaft: Scalextric W8923 Motor w/ shaft for Maserati and Vanwall F1
Guide Flag: MRRC
Chip: Scalextric F1

Subaru Impreza

Body: 1/32 scale plastic Revell assembly kit, prepainted
Chassis: MRRC Sebring chassis
Front axle, wheels and tyres: MRRC
Rear axle, wheels, tyres and gear: MRRC
Motor: MRRC 21,000 RPM FF inline
Guide Flag: Slot.It
Chip: Scalextric F1

I still have to get the driver and navigator figures for the Subaru but otherwise the cars are now ready to start testing and tuning.

Gordon wow, , I like d. Triumph it sweet, Subaru lookin mad, , like a drag car, nicely lowered for d. Class @ hand, no magnets, lol, was d. Car with gold rims & blue roll cage, mustang looks good as welllll,
L , so wat we racin Thursday, hahaha.

Both looking sweet. Where did you get the decals and numbers /roundels for the Triumph ? I am looking for some for the Mustang I'm building. The rims on the Impreza , at first glance , appear to be extra wide , but in subsequent photos then appear to be regular width with a seriously deep dish (offset).
Will soon be starting to work on one of Jonathan's cars to race in the 'Rally' class.

I actually ordered most of them from Pattos in Australia a couple of years ago, however here are some decal links from the popular US online slot car shops we usually get stuff from:
