Modified chip tested

Hi Guys,
At Saturday's event we took the opportunity to test the first Greg Myers-modded chip to see just what to expect. Luke came up with the suggestion that we try one of Greg's modified Saloon DPR chip in one of his new Ferrari Challenge cars and Steve offered a standard one out of his beautiful new MGB as a baseline in the Ferrari. I had the privilege of trying it out first and let me say that I immediately felt a difference from what I'd expect of a stock 18K motor. This was confirmed when we put the stock chip in, the car feeling as you'd expect a stock Scaley Ferrari to feel.
After a few others drove the car with the modded chip, we were all in agreement that its performance is similar to if it was running at least a Slot.It 21,500 motor or something slightly quicker. Bottom line is the chips do deliver on their promise (at least the Saloon DPR that we tested does).
Now we have to try the other types of chips and we are yet to test any with higher RPM motors. As mentioned previously, there's no way to tell the difference in the appearance of the stock and modified chips, so out goes any regulation limiting them to specific classes.
