Fellas ~ Here is a list of motor info across the (FRC Circuit) board...

The 17 Classes & the 8 types of Motor RPM Ratings ...

• 1. 5 --- 18K RPM ............. Classes ............... *HS, *VS, MC, *F1 & SGTC
  2. 1 --- 20K RPM ............... Class .................. FTC
  3. 3 --- 21K RPM ............. Classes ................. PC, SC & RC
  4. 1 --- 23K RPM .............. Class ................... RGT
  5. 1 --- 25K RPM ................. " ...................... LS
  6. 2 --- 26K RPM ............. Classes ................. G5SC & NSS
  7. 1 --- 30K RPM .............. Class ................... MP
  8. 3 - OPEN RPM ............ Classes .................. AM, GT & LMP (as much as 40K rpm)

The *HS & VS Classes for certain models: Standard FC130 ~ 18K or the 21K rpm motors ...

Also, the *F1 Class - Chassis FC130 type/Motor Option: 18K to 21K rpm motors ...

Nowadays (Jan. 2015) FRC has no precise 30K rpm motor rating any longer - which was the Mod Prod class.

These are the 17 Classes & (now) 7 types of motor RPM Ratings ...

• 1. 5 --- 18K RPM ............. Classes ............... *HS, *VS, *F1, MC & SGTC
  2. 1 --- 20K RPM ............... Class .................. FTC
  3. 3 --- 21K RPM ............. Classes ................. PC, SC & RC
  4. 2 --- 23K RPM .............. Class ................... RGT & MP
  5. 1 --- 25K RPM ................. " ...................... LS
  6. 2 --- 26K RPM ............. Classes ................. G5SC & NSS
  7. 3 - OPEN RPM ................. " ...................... AM, GT & LMP (as much as 40K rpm)

*NOTE:

The *HS class - Standard for particular model but motor must not exceed: 20K rpm
The *VS class - Standard (be it FF or FC130) for the particular model: 18K rpm
The *F1 class - Standard/FF type motors only: 18K rpm

Also, the FTC, PC & LS classes are now known as the Mixed GT (MGT) event: 20, 21 & 25K rpm respectively.

This post could help with - for all to vote on what motors (FF-18K versus F130/SP -18K/21K) to be used in the HS class.

this is good info. One little addition though:Mod. Prod. motor limit is 25k rpm or 30k rpm, depending on chip being used.

Thanks Steve and in the MP class with motors, its 30K RPM or lower... Be it what type chip have to be used.

This NEW - SGTC class in 2014 ~ isnt officially confirmed as a permanent fixture but quite sure its a fixture nonetheless
