I know that we have a lot of classes, but we also have a number of cars that don't qualify for our existing classes. With this in mind, I'm proposing the following new class:
Modified Production
- Body must be modeled after a non-GT production car.
- Motors limited to 30,000 RPM maximum, based on manufacturer's specifications.
- Only Scalextric F1 chips will be allowed.
- Any magnets, braid, wheels, tyres and gears may be used.
Notice the restriction to the F1 chip. This is to try to prevent a repetition of the all-out open classes we now have (AM, GT, LMP) by builders having to strike a balance between motor, magnets and chip. If you put too much pressure on the chip, you'll blow it!
We are already getting the Lambo class soon (I received all six chips today and already have 3 or 4 motors and all the tyres), so another class will help us rearrange the class groupings into a four-group cycle instead of the current three-group cycle.
What do you think?
