Maintenance work at FRC

Hi Guys,
Luke joined me to do some much-needed maintenance work on FRC last Saturday. I was concerned with the loss of power in some sections as well as the auto-changing lane-changers. We pulled up every piece of track and for each section, cleaned the rails, bent the female connectors as per some advise found on SlotForum and reassembled the pieces. In one section leading out of the Island Hobbies corner to the following straight, we actually joined the electrical connections between the pieces by soldering wire (for some joints, braid for others) to them. This ensures that those sections have complete electrical continuity and should provide the best power possible. By 6:00 PM we had only got through with about a quarter of the track's length so I continued the work on Sunday, spending eight hours completing the track part. I soldered several more pieces together using braid to make the connections.
I also started the mending of the broken fence sections and re-stuck the pit wall and the short outer wall along the pit straight. Hopefully, I'll get the fence mending done in time for us to race this week.
