More track work at FRC - job completed!

O'Brie, Steve and I finally completed the electrical circuit continuity project last Saturday.
This first pic shows the section from the start line to the pit exit. L to R: jumper cables; single red cable to join potential dead spot across the lane-change triangle; four cables to connect to under-table junction box for connection to next section of track. The long white cable is the for X lane changer power (separate from the main track power):
Close-up of how individual track pieces get continuous power. We used braid soldered to track rail undersides for this:
Close-up of the jumpers that join the track section before the start line (power base track section) to the section after the start line (this section):
Where's the front straight?!! This is the missing last section being worked on:
Steve under the table connecting wires to the junction blocks:
O'Brie doing some of the long, tedious soldering work in the heat of the afternoon:
Job completed and table back up in the ceiling as darkness descends. The jumpers look like big mutant spiders under the table:
Before packing up, I ran my Escort around a few laps, checking the lanes and lane-changers. All worked well, however the pit entrance still refuses to work. We'll have to deal with that another time.
