Did a first test of my Triumph TR4A that I recently converted to some proposed Scratch Built class regs about ten days ago, but it encountered some transmission issues after just a few laps. I just finished repairing the problem with an upgraded part and did some more fine-tuning, so it's now ready for its second test. The body is from an Airfix model kit, the chassis from a front-motor MRRC Cobra. Both have been modified to allow the two to work together. It has an H&R Jack Rabbit 14,000 RPM motor as required by the rules and miscellaneous other slot car components. As per the regs, there is no magnet installed.

Here's a view of the underside:

That's some lead ballast peeping through the magnet location openings. Just need to get some wheel inserts for the rear wheels (again, as required the proposed regs). I've located a pair of plain wheel ones of the correct size which basically match the front wheels.

Are you interested in racing in a scratch built class? I'll post the proposed regs soon.

Fantastic job Gordon ..!

Your model car workmanship have always been a pleasure viewing. Looking over your Triumph TR4A, it’s remarkable the lengths of detail you go to - setting up for slotcar racing too.

Full points to you,

Luke
