My new Christmas present car

Post by gordon »

You guys might remember that I mentioned that I bought myself a new car for Christmas. Well I spent much of the rainy afternoon and night yesterday starting to prepare it for the class it will be raced in. Some of the smallest changes can take a really long time to do properly. Here's a teaser photo:

In any case, despite there being other thoughts on further changes , it's well on its way to being ready for its initial tests.

Gordon,

I'm thinking it's (somewhat) a Scalextric car ~ maybe for the type rims only ~ but the bit of detailed exhaust tail pipe is telling me it isn't a Scaly car. Plus if any changes wasn't done before teaser image with the original guide blade and the seeing the straightest of the chassis ... It's definitely not a Scalextric model car.

Maybe we should have a contest to see who figures out what car it is. I can come up with a small prize for the first person to get it.

So guys, start your research and let's see who wins!

The side pipes and Minilite-type rims suggest an American Trans-Am car that I'm quite fond of. I'd say an AMC Javelin.

OK, we've got one deduction. Anyone else wants to offer their opinion?

All I know ... it's not a Scalextric brand slotcar but could have guessed a bit more if there was an extra clue.
