Post by gordon »

Heartfelt condolences go out to our friend and fellow racer Luke (T) and his family on the loss of his mother yesterday morning. May she rest in God's eternal peace.

Please accept my condolences Luke. I know how much you loved her and how you took so much trouble to make sure that she (and your dad) were well taken care of. May she rest in peace.

It's such a blessing before I left for work on that Thursday 21st. December '17 day.

Taking some more time (than usual) to go into my Mother's bedroom with her (still alive but) sleeping ... to gently put my right hand on her forehead and my left hand holding her hand (while leaning over) and softly saying to her - God bless your soul Mom, have a wonderful day, I love you and see you this evening.

Those were the last words I told my mother (her still asleep) and so happy I had the chance.

I normally bring back the daily newspaper for my Father (Monday to Friday) before I leave the Petit Vally area and while I was walking out the house - is when I heard my dad shouting out my name.

Something special I had the chance to do - always remembering my mother :-)

Hi Luke T, i know you have prepared in your heart for this day and the Lord will definitely be the comforter and counselor as he promised to be to you during this time of bereavement. So stay strong my friend , see you soon. The best is yet to come as there is no more discomfort for her anymore.

In case you'll plan to attend my mother's funeral service on Thursday 4th. January 2018 - I will send a group email concerning other details to my 1:32 slotcar racing crew ...

New Year Greetings to all,

I would like to mention a few words of gratitude here ...

A Special Thank You to all my slotcar racing buddies who took the time to attend my mother's funeral service. Also how I remembered at the end of the service - I got a chance to tell Arden and Ramesh (in person) I appreciated their presence.

Now even though I believe I saw most of you'll who were there - I really didn't get much time to have a good word or two with all of you. So letting it be known that ... it was very comforting having you around.

Thanks again for supporting me and my family at such a time ... and all arrangements went off well but the only sad part I think will be tuff for me - is to keep remembering my Mom isn't around anymore.

Warmest Regards all the same,

Luke

Luke, like the other FRC guys I'm sure, I could not have missed being there to be with you and your family. Also, your words and those of Ethan and Bethany about your mum were a joy to listen to. I'm sure she was looking down at you all and smiling with pride.

Sorry I didn't get to talk with you after the service, but I had some pressing matters at work to deal with. Talk to you soon.
