Ramesh's new analog road course track

Post by gordon »

True to his word, Ramesh has got his analog 4-lane road racing track going in record time. Debbie and I were in south yesterday for a lovely Eid lunch at Arden's (thanks again Arden and Renata!), after which Ramesh invited us and Luke T. over to see the track which was in the process of being set up. Well, to put it mildly, it is overwhelming. Despite being slightly shortened to give a little extra space for humans, when you first see it, its bigger than you can imagine. I believe the table dimensions are 28' x 10'. When you compare it to FRC's 12' x 8', you get an idea of just how big it is.

Here are some pics:

The pictures don't do it justice. You only realise just how big it is when you're actually standing next to it. I did a number of laps on it driving with Ram, Luke T. and Anthony and its quite something. We will all need some good practice time to learn to drive it properly and without de-slotting!

It's a great looking (one of a kind) track Ramesh and letting you know (here) making plans for this evening with some other buddies (remember Glenn) to come and have a go on this huge looking circuit.

Hi Ram,
I'll try to make it down, even if for a short while.
