Gordon,
Its quite clear-cut we're the only ones with ideas here and seems there's no other person/s interested in sharing their thoughts (if any at all) for this type race. Anyway, so be it & here's my thoughts concerning the
pros and cons for the two methods you wrote about. Even though, when its understood what may be done ... I feel all persons participating will be very thrilled with this new racing series.
Here's somewhat of a (short sentence followed with) brief explanation.
- It's six of one, half a dozen of another.
Sure anyone seeing 36 cars (in total) all in one place to race ... may feel kind of overwhelmed but:
The graph for
6 vertical,
6 horizontal and
6 colored oblique lines in there respective order with
6 locations for
6 drivers each to race only
6 times ... is somewhat a grand target totaling
36 cars all made simple to understand.
Note how six 6s equals 36 ... and even if there's 10 persons involved in this race, the method used with the number 6 driver rotating
out and back in again - to complete their 6 races in this event is a very effective system.
In going over what you thought about with this
epic racing event being difficult - in my mind it's just a bigger version put together with our regular 3
IROC classes of 6 cars each plus a display board of 18 cars in the MGT
IROC racing event.
Now even though we're going with another 18 cars, this shouldn't be such a big deal for us FRC racers. We've got the talent and the know how, how to go about with this
Racing Extravaganza ..
I bring forward again ... persons could still
roll the dice or even
pull a number (mind you not by qualifying times) for starting positions and in this way - it will be done in a precise order and by the
luck of the draw one can try & win this race.
BTW - must remind you
"when it becomes your turn to drive one of the SGTC cars (last column) you either end up driving an F430, a 997 or a Lambo" its the only set of cars with
stock rubber tyres ~ one more aspect to add to this unique race
On this same topic - I don't think I will have anything to add or say again. It's just a matter at hand for you to reckon if we're going with this suggested
MIXED IROC Series as an opening event or not.
