Another Vintage Sports potential winner...

Post by gordon »

Hi Guys,

After the successful debut of two Slot.It Ford GT40s in the Vintage Sports class at our last event, I thought I'd bring your attention to another Slot.It car which qualifies for the class. Slot. It's Chaparral 2E is another car from the era which promises to be not only a beauty, but also a beast. With its sidewinder chassis configuration (as opposed to the inline Ford GT40's) it has all the design ingredients to be a top contender in the class.

The original car competed in the mid-60's primarily in the Can-Am series but also raced in international sports car and prototype races:

Here's Slot. It's beautiful (and no doubt fast) replica of the number 65 car:

I know that many of you are thinking "That wing will last two laps" but for about US$6.00 you can order the "tearproof" kit made of flexible, rubberised plastic:

I'm sure that whoever acquires one of these will not regret it.

Actually it comes with an offset sidewinder pod standard config. According to the Slot.it site.
Nice low profile as well.
