Hi Guys,
Back in the late '70s/early '80s during which time I served as Competition Secretary for the then newly-formed Trinidad Karting Club (TKC), I came up with an interesting award to recognise other than the first three places in our races. Called the "Index of Performance" after the name of an award given at the 24 hours of Le Mans, it recognised the driver who improved his finishing position over his starting position by the greatest amount. It was effectively an overtaking award. We actually handed out a trophy for the winner of the Index of Performance each race day and it was quite a cherished one at that.
Well, starting from our next event, I'm introducing the same award to our FRC events to recognise the driver who best progresses through the field in each class. Let's see who becomes our most prolific overtaker!

(Sorry... no trophy unless one of you wishes to donate it!)
