I finally got the time to install the new board in the TruSpeed controller, so we'll be able to test it this coming Thursday. The quality of the controller is best appreciated when you have to open it for something like this. Very clean and neat. Great job Steve!

Hi gents.
Thanks for the kind words Gordon.
(It's always a buzz when someone appreciates the time and effort put into the quality)

I have sent out a few of the new adjustable boards to get feedback, so will post you about what users are saying.
Of course I'll send these to you as well, but since they seem to working well, I'll probably just produce them that way from now on anyway, so that's what you'll get if you're happy with the existing prices.
All comments appreciated.

cheers,
Steve

Guys,

Here's an update. I emailed Steve about our findings with the new board he sent and here is his response:

"Many thanks for your reply and feedback.
The new adjustable board will be the standard issue from now on.
What this does really is change the start-up speed rather than change the whole curve.
This provides you with linear control from whatever start speed you chose, so should be right for what you're after.
Other feedback has been good with these, so I think the range of adjustment is correct.

I am actually making up the new batch now which are the SSD III
This version will have an adjustable pot on the outside positioned where the sensitivity adjustment is for the MT I

There aren't many left of the last batch of 100 SSD II version, so probably by the time you order I'll have the SSD III available.
Let me know if you want to get the last ones from the SSD II with the adjustable board, or wait for the SSD III."

I feel that we should go with the new SSD III model. let me know your thoughts below.

Hi all.
I have been working with a club in the USA who have been experiencing a few odd 'track call' problems with their SSD II controllers.
I have the solution sorted out now which amounts to a 'track call proof' new element board.
It's the same board as before but made up in a different way.
It still has the sensitivity adjustment as before and will be used on the new SSD III with the adjustment control on the top.
Again, over time with continued feedback, small adjustments may be made to keep the product in the lead, so any comments you may have in the future are welcome.

This is just an update to let you know the latests progress.

cheers,
Steve
