FRC Tech Inspection Form

Post by gordon »

Hi Guys,

To assist with checking the winning (or other) cars at FRC events, I've designed the following form:

Drivers and car preparers please take note and refer to the FRC classes for details if you are unclear about what is and isn't allowed.

Hi Gordon.
I think the form is well designed. Re. body alterations, I'm not so sure on the modified saloon classes , ie. MP, AM, what is considered a 'significant ' modification. My MP Mustang, for example, has had the fenders flared and is significantly lowered to fit on the HRS chassis. I think that the wording for these classes could read something like 'body must not be altered in a way that significantly lightens car or renders car indistinguishable from original car'. This would allow necessary modifications as well as cosmetic ones such as fitting of spoilers, flares and so on, but would not allow , for example, the cutting off of a roof which would lighten as well as improve CG of car.

Not in modified.

Sorry.

Arden, what are you talking about? This form is simply a check-list for items to be verified with the class rules when checking cars. The blue areas in each class are to be ignored (not checked).

I've modified the form (and corrected the spelling of "Inspection") for clarity. Areas that do not apply to a specific class are now marked "N/A".

Steve, I've changed the General section of our class regs to this.
