Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (1st October) for our Group A classes, Mixed GT IROC - "x" races @ 20 laps, Restricted GT - 3 races @ 30 laps. There'll also be races for novices/newcomers using our IROC cars.

Remember that we try to start our events no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the usual schedule:
  • Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
  • 8:30 PM - Technical Inspection (excluding IROC classes).
  • Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
  • Post-race Technical Inspection (if required)
  • After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
You can see the 2015 class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Don't forget to bring along some refreshments.

Please indicate in the poll above whether or not you'll be attending. You may change this as many times as you like up to the event date.

 After MGT IROC qualifying - feel all drivers competing should produce a fixed list how their 6 cars (2 - 997, 2 - Lambos & 2 - F430) are going to compete in whatever racing order.

It sounds a bit chaotic but sure anyone can keep this new idea in order with a more or less full pack of cardex (5" X 4") cards placed in my desk drawer, doing nothing for a long time now and can be put to use here ...

Here's somewhat of an accurate example:

Driver Name: Luke T.

Qualifying Position: 2nd.
  • • Porsche 997 - No.2
    • Lamborghini Gallardo - No.3
    • Porsche 997 - No.4
    • Ferrari F430 - No.5
    • Lamborghini Gallardo - No.6
    • Ferrari F430 - No.1
I also don't think it will have any car selection "clashing" because of now every driver will be positioned on the grid - of maybe 15 MGT racers ;)

How this idea sounds :?:

Sounds complicated and time-consuming Luke.

Okay GG and that's what a shoot-down sounds like but as complicated and time-consuming as it may seem ... I am still noticing a good amount of organizing driver's car calculations in advance.

Nevertheless, also understanding you just want to keep this already strategic MGT (18 cars) event - straightforward as possible :)

Hi Luke how is your RGT car coming along, i always remembered how quick your car was , i do hope to see you on the podium as i know you are a very keen competitor,i know Gordon , Steve and Arden will be gunning for a podium finish as well. This RGT is one of the tech, tuning classes and it gives me great satisfaction of prepping a top car as well as driving one. bye Ram

All,

I talked to Arden mid-morning yesterday and understand that he can't make FRC racing this evening.

On the other hand - I happened to see Kerwin in person too and he said its been along time he's hasn't been to FRC and will try to be there this evening.

In the mean time - during the course of the day, I will be calling on these guys:
  • • David/boo
    • Alex
    • Paul A.
    • Dougie
    • Scott (Dougie and Boo's brother)
    • Tony Arjoon
    • Mark Dipchan

To come on over to FRC for 132 racing.

Luke
