Hi Guys,
FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (30th April) for our Group D classes, Modified Production - 3 races @ 30 laps, F1 - 5 races @ 30 laps. Remember that our events start no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the usual schedule:
Here are the specific Modified Production and F1 class regulations (blue text indicates any changes for 2015). This will be used by the Tech Inspectors for checking each car:

- Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
- 8:30 PM SHARP - Technical Inspection (excluding IROC classes).
- Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
- Post-race Technical Inspection (if required)
- After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
Here are the specific Modified Production and F1 class regulations (blue text indicates any changes for 2015). This will be used by the Tech Inspectors for checking each car:
- Modified Production (MP)
- Body: Must be based on a non-GT production car and must comply with General item 2. Windows may be tinted so as not to reveal the cockpit.
- Chassis: Free.
- Interior: Free but must comply with General item 3.
- Digital Chip: Free
- Motor: 23,500 RPM or lower, based on manufacturer's specifications.
- Gearing: Free.
- Motor Pod (where applicable): Free.
- Magnets: All magnets must be positioned ahead of the rear tyres when viewed from the bottom or top of the chassis (see diagram below). Car must not be able to magnetically adhere to standard Scalextric track piece in an upside down position. Stacking allowed.
- Wheels: Free.
- Axles: Free.
- Tyres: Free.
- Guide Flag: Free.
- Eligible cars:
To qualify, body must be based on a non-GT car that is constructed principally for retail sale to consumers for their personal use and to transport people on public roads (no commercial or industrial vehicles are eligible), but may be modified by the addition of fender flares/extensions, wings and spoilers. Examples of non-eligible GT cars are Porsche 911/997, any Ferrari or Lamborghini and most cars with "GT" in their names. For Scalextric and Carrera F1 cars that come standard with 18K FF motor.
- Body: Must be modeled after a car which competes in F1 racing from 2000 onwards and must comply with General item 2. Windscreen may not be tinted - interior must be visible.
- Chassis: Standard for the particular model.
- Interior: Free but must comply with General item 3.
- Digital Chip: Scalextric F1 or Scalextric DPR F1.
- Motor: Standard silver-can 18,000 RPM FF motors must be used.
- Gearing: Standard for the particular model.
- Motor Pod (where applicable): Standard for the particular model.
- Magnets: A single bar magnet (2mm maximum thickness) located in the standard position and button magnet (2mm maximum thickness) can be used to improve downforce. These magnets must be located in different parts of the chassis (they cannot be located in the same place).
- Wheels: Standard for the particular model.
- Axles: Standard for the particular model.
- Tyres: Free.
- Guide Flag: Free.
