Next event's classes: Group C: Mini Challenge IROC - 6 races @ 20 laps, Rally Car - 3 five-lap stages per car, 1 car at a time (90 laps for 6 cars). As usual, don't forget to see the updated fastest times for the FRC classes to know what the benchmarks are for your cars, the updated class average qualifying times and the updated fastest times for 2015.

Looks like you're back out to the office and hoping you're (100%) fully recovered from that terrible virus ..

All in all - sorry for not having any cars race ready for this event because ...

Looking at the Drivers/Owner chart and seeing my name (alone) with such trusted support (in each class) of 3 sponsored cars. I must thank you very much for this approval

I really don't have any excuse for no race ready cars other than - I'm really just not that interested in setting-up my slotcars to race the way I use too. Yes, you and the other guys kind of know this already but just had to make it known again because I do notice all the keen efforts you and other guys make for this not to happen. Now mind you - don't want anyone to think I don't enjoy the racing company but its just the setting-up of slotcars - I just don't have that zest like I use too.

Now because of the keen efforts - I did dig deep (physically, mentally and financially) to see for myself if I can personally fix this slotcar non-building shift ... but to this day - sorry to say, of little or to no avail.

Take for example: This Physical, Mental & Financial story.

I think of slotcar things to do for the next event, get all worked-up getting all things ready for the job/project and as I sit down to start work ... its then I go mental for no apparent reason. I even tried to fire-up things by buying myself 3 new NINCO slotcars (one each) for the VS, RC and LMP classes. Which I also have no ready car for these classes and yet still ~ nothing doing ... All because these 3 (new) cars are still in the postage box I received them in ... The only thing I remember doing with them - is showing them off to you, others and no more :/

This is the first time I have written such a weighed down reply/report and I'm really sorry because it wasn't intended - it just happened.

Who knows - maybe I just needed to get this personal unexciting slotcar feelings off my chest (so to speak) and hopefully it will rework my slotcar tuning enthusiasm ..

Well you and I have a car-building project for which all the parts are now available. The Viper Project will hopefully give you back your car-preparation mojo.

Thoroughly enjoyed the night's racing, even if my results weren't great. These classes are among my favourites and I was also glad to be able to stay a bit later than in recent times due to the Good Friday holiday. It was nice (as it always is) to see the debut of new racing machinery, in this case Gary's MGB and Mercury Cougar. Although a little off the pace on the night, I think that there's some real potential there.
Regarding the proposed 107% rule, it is interesting to note that in Vintage Sports, only 1 car qualified within 107% of the pole sitter's time.
It was entertaining to see Seth and Raine race their lovely looking Nissan Skylines after the main event. Now we need to see their dad also get involved in racing !
Congrats to Luke B. on winning all classes raced and the Champion Driver of the night title.
Looking forward to the next event.

Steve, it's actually a 120% qualifying rule. The 107% is used for Magnet Marshal readings.

Sorry, my mistake re qualifying cut-off. Was thinking about the 107% as used in F1 and not our proposed 120%. At 120%, most of the cars would have been eligible to race.
