Hi Guys,
FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (2nd April) for our Group B classes, Historic Saloon - 3 races @ 25 laps, Vintage Sports - 3 races @ 25 laps, Group 5 Sports Cars - 3 races @ 25 laps. Remember that our events start no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the usual schedule:

- Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
- 8:30 PM SHARP - Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
- Winning cars will be checked for compliance with the regulations after the last race for each class (excluding IROC classes).
- After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
Here are the specific HS, VS and G5SC class regulations (blue text indicates any changes for 2015):
- Historic Saloon (HS)
For unmodified slot models of cars based on production saloon/sedan and road going sports cars from the 1960s and 1970s - see Eligable Cars below.
- Body: See Eligable Cars below. Body must comply with General item 2. Windows may not be tinted - interior must be visible.
- Chassis: Standard for the particular model. Cars with angle-winder chassis or angle-winder pods are prohibited.
- Minimum Ground Clearance: 1.0 mm / 0.040".
- Interior: Full interior as standard for the particular model, however this may be altered if necessary, but only to the extent required to install digital chip. Must comply with General item 3.
- Digital Chip: Scalextric brand only.
- Motor: Standard motor as fitted by the car manufacturer. This motor must not exceed 20,000 RPM, based on manufacturer's specifications.
- Gearing: Standard for the particular model.
- Motor Pod (where applicable): Standard for the particular model.
- Magnets: Standard for the particular model.
- Wheels: Standard for the particular model.
- Axles: Standard for the particular model.
- Tyres: Free but must fit standard wheels.
- Guide Flag: Standard for the particular model.

- Chassis: Original chassis for the particular model, but may be modified.
- Minimum Ground Clearance: 1.0 mm / 0.040".
- Interior: Full interior as standard for the particular model, however this may be altered if necessary, but only to the extent required to install digital chip. Must comply with General item 3.
- Digital Chip: Free.
- Motor: 26,000 RPM or lower, based on manufacturer's specifications.
- Gearing: Free.
- Motor Pod (where applicable): Free.
- Magnets: Maximum Magnet Marshal downforce of 200 gms (107% = 214 gms). This is currently under review.
- Wheels: Free.
- Axles: Free.
- Tyres: Free.
- Guide Flag: Free.
