GR8 job by Gordon ~ out of the six (6) possible victories ...

He pulled off 4 out of 6 and without doing any loud "cosmetic" speaking during the races ... Steve also did well with his 2 wins, along with his 2nd. place position.

Ramesh & Arden's suggestion/purpose for the pulling of numbers, was a well thought out & an excellent idea in the end with ...

The upgraded (Silicone Tyres) NISSAN GT-R SUPER SERIES IROC Class:

This event was last held (7 months ago/believe it or not hehe) Race report #172 - Thursday 24th July, 2014 and pole time was set at 7.613 on rubber tyres, now its 6.214 seconds with silicones.

Looking at the chart/graph below will explain the racing intensity of it all ... in (somewhat) a nutshell.

Finishing Positions - Qualifying/Pull Numbered Positions - Names/Results = Points.

  • 1. 3/6. Gordon ........................... 4 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 3 - 1 = 43 pts.
    2. 2/7. Steve ............................. 0 - 1 - 1 - 3 - 4 - 2 - 3 - 0 - 0 - 0 = 35 pts.
    3. 1/3. Ramesh .......................... 2 - 4 - 3 - 4 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 1 - 2 = 31 pts.
    4. 4/8. Jon ................................ 0 - 0 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 5 - 5 - 2 - 0 - 0 = 31 pts.
    5. 5/10. Luke ............................ 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 5 - 2 - 6 = 25 pts.
    6. 6/1. Alex ............................... 1 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 3 - 4 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 = 25 pts.
    7. 9/5. Arden ............................. 3 - 2 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 4 - 3 - 4 - 5 = 22 pts.
    8. 7/2. Paul ............................... 5 - 6 - 5 - 1 - 6 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 3 = 18 pts.
    9. 8/9. David (boo) ..................... 0 - 0 - 0 - 6 - 5 - 6 - 6 - 4 - 5 - 0 = 10 pts.
    10. 10/4. Gary ........................... 6 - 5 - 6 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 6 - 6 - 4 = 08 pts.

Like how finishing positions 2, 4, 5 & 6 was consistent with qualifying positions and 1 & 3 just swap places - 7, 8, 9 & 10 was a good mix-up.

BTW - A special thanks to Ramesh lending me one of is super tuned Slot It cars for the SC class. It was also great having David and Paul back on the grid.

The only persons I didn't write about yet - is Jon, Alex & Gray in the that order. Jon did some great racing coming 4th. place. Alex will be Alex and Gray must be thinking how he has a really rough bunch of 132 slotcar racing guys to try and keep up with ~ ent Gary :D

All in all - was an enjoyable time at FRC again :)

Lots of jokes too - the best was "somebody give Alex ah hand nah"

OMG BTW - I forgot all about STAR BOY Luke B. and wonder what would have happened, if he was added to the NSS IROC Racing Equation :D

I also found out recently, not only he has my namesake - he's born the same month as me ~ hard luck I cant race so good as him yet ;)

Nice analysis and race report summary there Luke. One point... each driver did only six races so the results are out of six possible victories, not ten.

Thank you Gordon and I made the change/correction ...

The graph really has a lot of info (for anyone to analyze) in one space and guess I made the mistake getting carried away in thought  :D

Although - in thinking it through, it was still very relaxing ;)

Suppose that's why I am (after you of course GG) second to none on the FRC forum and enjoy very much ... Win, Lose or Draw 8-)

Great night of racing at FRC. It was really nice to see Boo and Paul back in the game and up to speed. Need to make this more of a regular occurrence guys ! Racing events are always more fun with a good driver turnout. Congrats to joint SC winners Ramesh and Jon and to Nissan GT-R winner Gordon.
Looking forward to the next event.
Steve

GG ~ Commenting on the NSS class again :D

Going over the chart - about my mistake with the 10 wins per driver... I wanted to try and figure out what that 10 was about.

So, really and truly - those 10 victories with 10 drivers was 10 wins per car.

This info in hand, came up with these results.

10 wins per car - Number/Colour and amount of Wins:
  • • Car No. 1 - Orange ................. 4
    • Car No. 2 - Gold ..................... 2
    • Car No. 3 - White ................... 2
    • Car No. 4 - Yellow .................. 0
    • Car No. 5 - Silver ................... 2
    • Car No. 6 - Red ...................... 0

Also, with the 6 cars X 10 drivers = 60 races @ 25 laps (1500 laps total)

Racing at such a grand scale - is good these IRCO racing cars/classes are so far and in between events ... because they really do get some serious jamming in a short-period of time.

Strange enough though, the NSS car that won the most ... Nissan (Orange) GT-R Stillen No.1 ... was also a posted pic by you.

Isn't that a remarkable coincidence :)

Very good night of racing. The IROC classes are so much more enjoyable now with this new format, especially since we all race in the same group.
Good racing Jon you are getting better. Keep it up.
Thanks for the loan Ram. SC.

Hey Doc (Arden) congrats setting SC pole ...

To tell you the truth, I sort of switched off "132 racing mode" with the SC class (conditions beyond my control) and didn't realize you were on controller one. Although I got a sponsored Bhola's Super Tuned car in 5th. spot, somehow I thought it was Gordon on pole ~ so must give credit where credit is due ...

I was so taken up with NSS results - see you made the SC rostrum as well, which means you're getting better at your 132 driving too :D
