Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (13th November) for our Group A classes, Scalextric GT Challenge (SGTC) IROC - 6 races @ 20 laps, Restricted GT - 5 races @ 30 laps. As with all our IROC classes there's no need to bring a car of your own for SGTC - cars will be supplied by FRC, so come along and have some fun. Remember that our events start no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the schedule:
  • Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
  • 8:30 PM SHARP - Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
  • Winning cars will be checked for compliance with the regulations after the last race for each class (excluding IROC classes)
  • After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
You can see all the class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Hey Steve,

Remember how you (at this event) told me you don't come to a stop with a DTP :?:

Look how its written here - from the FRC Regs ~ Penalties:

4. A "drive-through" penalty is served by entering the pit lane, coming to a complete stop, then resuming the race via the pit exit. This can be done at any time before the race ends. The driver must indicate that the drive through was done by clearly announcing "Drive through taken" otherwise the penalty will be considered not served.

I think - if you are considering that you still losing the lap with a DTP, it should be written differently.
