Hello Fellas,

Letting all know (upfront) a situation I have with my Scalextric (Historic Saloon) Ford Escort and if its possible to still race this car.

Like always, I'm looking forward to racing in the Historic Saloon & Vintage Sport classes but I have one slight problem with my HS car ... The problem I have with it is - the windows are tinted (spray painted) black. Now, I know you'll may think (Luke racing @ FRC so long now ...) but I was trying to find a way to untint windows and dont think there's anyway in doing this, for a clear view of the interior - which btw also has the the driver & co-driver seated inside the same car.

Nevertheless, for the past few days I was trying to get a next "clear" Ford Escort Window but my both tries failed. One was from Alex and the next was from David "boo" - Alex couldn't find his damaged (window still intact) Escort and he ran out of time too because he & family going abroad on holidays. Boo's Escort (his 2nd. Escort not chipped) on the other hand, is way too new to go and open up, just use the window.

Having explained myself fully about my HS tinted windows - could I race it still :?:

If anyone is wondering why I tinted windows - Car Boutique on the Western Main Rd, Port of Spain had a 50% one day tint sale :D

Hi Luke,
I would be okay with you racing your Escort with the 'tinted' glass, once the scrutineers have determined that the car meets the requirements otherwise.

Luke, please bring the car to race. We will inspect it to ensure that the interior is intact and if so, allow it to race at this event with the tinted windows. You should have enough time to get a new window assembly by the next time we next race HS.
