Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:00 PM this Thursday (26th June) for our Group A classes: Mixed GT IROC - 6 races @ 25 laps, Slot.It Challenge - 5 races @ 35 laps. Remember that our events now start no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the schedule:
  • Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
  • 8:30 PM SHARP - Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
  • Winning cars will be checked for compliance with the regulations after the last race for each class (excluding IROC classes)
  • After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).

Here are the specific Slot.It Challenge class regs (blue text indicates any changes for 2014):

Slot.It Challenge (SC)
For Slot.It brand Group C cars only - see Eligable Cars below.
  • Body: See Eligable Cars below. Body must comply with General item 2. Windows may not be tinted - interior must be visible.
  • Chassis: Standard for the particular model.
  • Interior: Standard for the particular model and must comply with General item 3.
  • Digital Chip: Slot.It brand only.
  • Motor: Standard Slot.It orange-endbell 21,500 RPM motor.
  • Gearing: Gears may be changed however axle gears must be Slot.It.
  • Motor Pod (where applicable): Motor pod may be changed but must be inline Slot.It.
  • Magnets: Single standard Slot.It "non-race" which may be positioned in any of the standard locations on the Slot.It motor pod.
  • Wheels: May be changed but must be Slot.It.
  • Axles: Standard for the particular model.
  • Tyres: May be changed but must be Slot.It.
  • Guide Flag: Free.
  • Eligible cars:
    • Mazda 787B
    • Jaguar XJR12
    • Sauber C9 Mercedes
    • Porsche 962
    • Porsche 956
    • Porsche 962 KH
    • Porsche 956 KH
    • Lancia LC 2
    • Jaguar XJR 9 LM
    • Nissan R390 GT1 (not a Group C car, but allowed)
    • Audi R8C (NOT the racing anglewinder model)
    • McLaren F1 GTR (not a Group C car, but allowed)
    • Toyota 88C
    The list will be expanded if and when other eligible models appear.
Don't forget to bring along some refreshments.
