RACE REPORT #156 - February 13th 2014
During the course of the evening of our 156th event we had a total of ten drivers compete in three classes - Historic Saloon, Vintage Sports and three Lambo Series races for the marshals. Luke B. took pole in both HS and VS setting a new lap record of 5.593 in the latter with a Scaley Ford GT40.
There was close competition in HS, particularly between Ramesh and Luke B. and in the end we had one of our very rare ties for the class championship. It was almost the same in VS where we saw Luke B. twice start from the back of the grid for changing cars. This time one driver took the top class points however.
Three marshals competed in the Lambo races and after the first two were over, there was a tie, the eventual winner being decided by a third race tiebreaker.
The results
Congratulations to the winners.
2014 Overall Class Points Update
Next event's classes: We're supposed to be having our inaugural Nissan GT-R Super Series IROC races, however the cars are not yet ready, so we'll run The Lambo IROC cars instead - 6 races @ 25 laps, Restricted GT - 5 races @ 35 laps. As usual, don't forget to see the updated fastest times for the FRC classes to know what the benchmarks are for your cars, the updated class average qualifying times and the updated 2014 Class Points Standings.
See you on the circuit...
