Coming out of last weeks meeting I was a little unclear on whether the Slot.it Matra was eligible to race or not.
You guys advised me it was for Group C cars but I somehow recall you (or someone), saying the Matra could be raced.
I would appreciate you letting me know as I'm ordering a few Slot.it cars with some extra bits and pieces later this week.
Josh and I hope to be racing in the Slot.t Class within a few weeks.
I'm sure it will take us at least a season to get competitive but hey......it''ll be fun learning how to get the best from these cars.

Thanks

Ian

Hi Ian,

Our Slot.It Challenge class is for Slot.It cars based on FIA's Group C category (1982-1993). The following Slot.It Cars eligible:
  • Mazda 787B
  • Jaguar XJR12
  • Sauber C9 Mercedes
  • Porsche 962
  • Porsche 956
  • Porsche 962 KH
  • Porsche 956 KH
  • Lancia LC 2
  • Jaguar XJR 9 LM
  • Nissan R390 GT1
  • Audi R8C (NOT the racing anglewinder model)
  • McLaren F1 GTR
  • Toyota 88C
The cars highlighted in red are technically not Group C models, however, for one reason or another we have allowed them to race in the past. They will eventually be removed from the list. The Slot.It Matra MS670B is eligible for our Group 5 Sports Car class.

Ian,

Just to clarify: Slot.It cars can be raced in any class where the class rules allow. Our Slot.It Challenge class is a class specifically for Slot.It cars and no other brand.
