Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice/testing from 7:00 PM this Thursday (12th). Scheduled classes are Historic Saloon - 5 races @ 25 laps, Vintage Sports - 5 races @ 30 laps, Group 5 Sports Car - 5 races @ 30 laps. However, if we get a few "novices", we'll have at least two, possibly three races for them using one of the IROC car groups and we'll shorten our classes to three races each instead of five.

Remember the special requirement for our VS races at this event:
  • For the final two races, all drivers must use a class-eligible car that has not raced in any of the first three races.
If we reduce the races from 5 to 3, this rule will apply for the final race in the class.

Please bring your cars ready to go. Here's the proposed schedule:
  • 8:00 PM - Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
  • After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
You can see all the class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Don't forget to bring along some refreshments.

Ice Brigade: Luke B. (1 bag please).

Will be there for sure.
The 'Reality Check' photos are great. I love the BMW 2002 with the inside wheels lifted. I have a slot car model of one of those (Spirit) but it would not be competitive at FRC due to almost non-existent magnetic downforce. the Gr. 5 sports car shot is also nice, with the 3 Matra-Simcas running together.

GG - That's really a huge crowd (looking like ants) in the G5SC photo  and also noticed no kind of safety fencing back in those days too.

Ramesh,

First things first, thank you all for having us over and (I can speak for all 3 from the north) that we had a very enjoyable time down south.

TSCC looks like its going places & will do well from all the background work I noticed... You & Marlon do a superb job with the racing commentary and it should remain part of the racing fixtures... It adds so much more thrills to the racing as well as entertainment for the visitors.

Excellent work with all those video camera settings for the TV recordings 8-)

Its all very remarkable what you & Arden are doing with 1/32 slot car racing in San Fernando..! I will give as much support as I can to this venture and you'll keep up the great work keeping familes together with this great hubby.

A light reminder though Ramesh - My daughter's name is Bethany :)

That's the first corner at Le Mans circa 1972. I know it well.

Great to hear you'll be attending Boo. I know that two of these classes are amongst your favorites and your results show it. See you tomorrow,
