RACE REPORT #125 - MAY 2ND 2013

Some really close racing in Restricted GT (RGT), Slot.It Challenge (SC) and Mini Challenge (MC) made our 125th event a great night of competition. With eight drivers present for RGT and SC, just qualifying for the six racing positions for the first races was touch and go. The time difference between pole and eighth place in RGT was less than 1 sec; the first seven in SC were separated by 3/4 sec with the top six qualifying under 6 sec. As there were just six MC drivers, we did not qualify the cars, just rolling a dice for first race positions/cars. Drivers then moved down 2 throttles/cars for each of the two remaining races.

New Lap Records
  • SC - 5.649 sec (Gordon, Slot.It Toyota 88C)

Congratulations to the winners.

Next event's classes: Lambo Series - 6 races @ 30 laps, F1 - 3 races @ 30 laps. Don't forget to see the updated fastest times for the FRC classes to know what the benchmarks are for your cars. Also of interest are the updated class average qualifying times.

See you on the circuit...

A Pole, 3 Wins for full points and New Lap Record too 8-)

Congrats :!:

Thanks Luke, but its getting harder and harder to dominate anything at FRC nowadays, so I'm thankful to have managed it. Not likely to happen very often, that's for sure.

Great racing as usual at FRC. Very competitive in all classes for sure. In SC it's nice to see new cars appearing, such as Ramesh's new Toyota 88C,which is already showing its speed (possibly due to lightened bodywork as a result of a missing headlight....just joking !) and the increasingly competitive Lancia of Luke and Mazda of Alex. Gordon's Toyota seemed to have found an extra burst of speed this week. Congrats on new lap record. My Toyota is still competitive but certainly not the fastest in class.
Alex, my plan of losing in order to not bring ice did not work.I still have to end up doing the honours for the next meet.

David :!: Your racing standings :?: OMG - thats not for real man :(

If you didnt point that out here, i wouldnt have noticed how bad you did with your races... Waz your problem buddy? You can race better than that for sure...

GG could be right about less vodka but try this one for size - Do what i notice some "guys" do to warm up before a race and get good results with it too :D

Some Mind & Body Exercise - by walking around track (table) a few times while looking at the shape of track and then stand up "not sit down on eh" next to the start line (power base) & meditate for a little while

If you call names... I will whistle... hehehehe
