Points system modification ?

Guys, do you think we should consider altering the points system in cases where there are 2 groups racing in a class(A and B) ? I'm thinking along the lines of simply adding 9 points to the points for the Group A races , ie. 18 for 1st place , down to 10 for 6th place. That way the last place finisher in Group A still makes more points than the winner in Group B. Think of this (conspiracy theory again !) that could happen now: on a night with many newcomers and inexperienced racers, someone may 'hold back' in qualifying to deliberately get into Group B where thay would have a better chance of doing well in the actual race. With suggested points system, that would not pay off at all.

Steve, do you really think that anyone who has the potential to be fast will hold back? I don't think that's likely. Besides, if we do modify the points as you suggest it would not be fair to "B" drivers who are also competing for champion driver of the event and it could skew other statistics.
