Hi Guys,
In view of the recent addition of the Slot.It Ford GT40 and Chaparral cars to the Vintage Sports class, I'd like to propose that we make the following change to the VS regulations:
Current regulation:
No modifications, additions or changes to magnets, motors or tyres will be allowed (tyres may be trued) - cars must remain stock as supplied by the manufacturer, including full interior, however this may be altered to the extent necessary to install digital chip and braid may be changed.
Proposed change to regulation:
No modifications, additions or changes to magnets or tyres will be allowed (tyres may be trued). Stock FC130 motors may be replaced with stock Slot.It 21,500 RPM (orange end-bell) motors. Otherwise, cars must remain stock as supplied by the manufacturer, including full interior, however this may be altered to the extent necessary to install digital chip and braid may be changed.
This will bring all the FC130 motored cars back in line so far as motor specs are concerned. Cars with FF motors must run a standard 18,000-20,000 FF motors. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Proposed Vintage Sports motor regulation change
Re: Proposed Vintage Sports motor regulation change
Hey Gordon, well I have no problems with it, cause aim running stock, 1800.rpm. Motor, the car only has a chip, & as you know, the car is very competitive.
Re: Proposed Vintage Sports motor regulation change
I like the idea of these older cars being raced 'stock' , as per current rules, even if it means that the newer Slot.it cars may have a power advantage.
Re: Proposed Vintage Sports motor regulation change
Steve,
Remember, no one is obliged to change their motors. It's just to give the uncompetitive cars an option to be on a more level playing field. For example, my Lola T70 is fine as is, however my Ferrari 330 P4 is really slow and cannot realistically compete for wins as it is.
