Checking car downforce

Post by gordon »

Effective 24th August 2025 onwards, we’ll only be checking the downforce of the first three placed cars and this will be done directly after each race. Any car failing the test will be disqualified and those placed behind will take their places on the podium without requiring being checked.

In the case of Rally stages, each car will be checked immediately after completing each of its stage runs. Any car failing will be disqualified from that stage.

It’s recommended that owners/drivers ensure that their cars pass this check after first doing some laps on the track so that the car will be in “after running” condition, similar to how they’ll be when the official tests are done.

The current method for these checks is by using a Scalextric straight single lane track.
