RACE REPORT #341 - June 14th 2025 (Rally Car)

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this event. In my place, O'Brie handled the computer and did an excellent job of it as he was able to get the rally stages all done. Thanks partner!

So here's the report, based on the result information dutifully recorded and sent to me by Steve. Hope I got everything right.

The orange highlights below indicate who did the best time for each lap of each stage, the driver who did the fastest lap for the stage and the driver with the lowest variation in times driving the stage.

Congrats to Ram for setting the fastest rally stage lap time of 8.053 sec, again almost in the 7 sec range.

Great evening of rally action at FRC !
Very sorry that Gordon couldn't make it as I know he enjoys this competition very much. O'Brie stepped in admirably to fill Gordon's shoes as the 'master of the day's ceremonies', ably assisted by Gordon's telephoned instructions. I just hope that he didn't give up too much sea time in helping us out at FRC ! We still somehow managed to start the actual competition a little bit later than planned but this did not diminish the enjoyment a bit. There was a good turnout of eight drivers and the competition was extremely close among some. In the end, Ram won all three stages and therefore, obviously won the event overall. Congrats Ram !!
Towards the end, O'Brie seemed to be encountering some issues with the timing system and the beers were calling so we decided to not run the Time Attack competition.
Looking forward to the next event !
Steve
