[The FRC database system, which I created since at least March 2010 and which has been evolving with changes and tons of new data since then, became corrupted a couple weeks ago. Despite trying everything I could think of and all I was able to research online, I couldn't recover any of the data, right from the beginning and all the way up to our last rally/time attack event on March 8th of this year. Today, I decided to just try restoring from my Mac's built-in Time Machine backup and was able to get everything back, all the way from the database's beginning, up to Race Report 334 (RR334) on February 15th 2025. I spent most of today re-entering the RR335 (Rally/Time Attack) data into the recovered database, then created RR336, entering all of its data. So I just have yesterday's RR337 to do and should be able to get it completed by the end of this long weekend. Following is RR336.]
Exactly six drivers attended our 336th event, this one for our BTCC, GT and LMP classes. This of course meant that no one had to stand by waiting for a chance to drive, there being a throttle available for everyone for both practice and the races themselves.
The usual competitive FRC racing saw four different winners in the six races run, the event having the usual close qualifying times and lots of race action. We also saw some great new cars, including Peter's beautiful-liveried and fast LMP Porsche 963, along with his similarly-quick GT Porsche 911. O'brie supplied his very quick Porsche 962 for Liam to race, where he put it on pole in LMP. Luke also did well with Ram's McLaren MP4 12C and Toyota 88C, qualifying the former third in GT, the latter second in LMP. Steve qualified his BMW 330i on pole in BTCC and I managed to do the same in GT with my McLaren MP4 12C.
We finished the racing at just about 6:30 PM, then had a last "board meeting" to close off the afternoon of great racing and camaraderie.
