RACE REPORT #320 - June 15th 2024 (BTCCnm, GTnm, LMPnm)

Eight drivers participated in our 320th event, this one for our Scalextric BTCC, GT and LMP classes. With Warren's help and input, we were able to turn on auto-track calls in the SSDC software with settings adjusted for just the results we wanted and it worked perfectly. Now, any time a throttle trigger is released for at least 1 second when a car de-slots, this automatically creates a track call where all cars lose power and therefore cannot be driven. Once the car(s) involved are re-slotted, pressing the Powerbase start button starts a brief countdown, then power is restored and the race resumes. Thanks Warren!

In BTCC, a mere 0.625 sec separated the six qualifying times from fastest to slowest and the racing was very close. Only de-slots eventually separated the pack somewhat. The GT and LMP qualifying times were a bit more spread out from first to sixth at 1.335 sec and 1.480 sec respectively. Fastest race lap results were shared by Steve, Warren and Ian. Class winners included Gordon (BTCC), Warren (GT) and Ian (LMP). There were some really fast new cars raced, raising the bar for all the slower machines.

We closed shop around 7:30 pm after a lot of fun and close, competitive racing.

Here are the usual pics to start things off.

WOW Gordon !!!

Incredible FRC Race Report & with 320 Racing Days !!!

It is such an equal number & remarkable amount of Scalextric Digital Slot-Car Racing ..!

Plus, done know today (17:06:2024) is your 71st Birthday :D

You're doing an excellent job - basically change around the numbers of your 17th Birthday (54 years ago) to your 71st today 8-)

Well, I will share a quick joke my daughter tells me about some of my eating habits at 61 years of age :-)

I am 61 and still eating like I am 16 ... for example: Pepper with Food, Cake, Ice Cream, Lolly Pops, Pastries & Preservatives to name a few ;-)

But I think in your case ...

You are 71 and still living an energetic & strong life, like you're 17 years of age 8-)

All in all, and concerning this Grand Numbered Report ...

There are lots of great points can mention, even though I left a little earlier than normal :P

What I could mention now though is ...

Have always been very happy to be part of FRC from the very start and remembered when we first met - you were 55 & me 45 ;)

A Big Thanks to our Heavenly Father GOD ... for the 16 straight years of 132 racing and our friendship like family.

Happy Birthday Gordon & may you continue receiving God's Richest Blessings ... with another GREAT year ahead - Amen

Much thanks Luke! Yes, we're getting older, but lets all keep going until we really no longer can!

Great report G! Thanks for your dedication to our passion! I hope the oโ€™Brien stable can give a better showing next time out๐Ÿ˜Š also a special thanks to Warren for adding his knowledge of PC computing to assist with the track call issues. It works but hopefully we can tweak it for the better in the future๐Ÿ‘

Great afternoon/ evening of racing at FRC !
The new track call system is really welcome and seems to be functioning well. Thanks a lot to Warren for assistance in sorting this out. I haven't mastered it as yet (as my racing results can attest to) but should have a better feel for it by the next event.
Great to see Warren showing up with new cars prepared by himself running so well !
Congrats to class winners Ian, Gordon and Warren and to Gordon on taking the event's overall win. Congrats also to Liam on taking the Index Of Performance accolades.
Looking forward to the next event.
Steve
