RACE REPORT #291 - Sep 25th 2021 (KBnm, CMnm, VS6075GTnm, VS6075PRnm)
We had a very nice session on Saturday with Steve, O'Brie and Keith joining me at FRC. We wanted to focus on getting some races done and some official qualifying times recorded, so we did just that. Because of a later-than-planned start, we were eventually able to get in qualifying and just a single race for each of the four classes raced, but this still turned out to be great fun. Once again there were some very close times recorded between various cars in each class.
An enjoyable time was has by all and we tentatively plan to have our next session in three weeks.
Practice
Despite the focus on racing, we still got in a couple hours of testing and practice, but the real action was to follow.
The results
Kitbash grid: Steve's very quick Ford Sierra on pole, with O'Brie's almost equally fast Peugeot 205 on grid two and my NSU TT at the back:
Clubman grid: Steve's MGB on pole, followed by my Corvette, O'Brie driving my Triumph and Keith driving Steve's BMW:
Vintage Sports 60-75 GT grid: Steve's Porsche 911 Carrera RS on pole, followed by my Cobra, O'Brie's Ferrari and Keith driving Steve's Porsche 911 Turbo:
Vintage Sports 60-75 Prototype grid: My Ferrari P4 on pole followed by O'Brie's Ford GT MKIV, Steve's's Ford GT40 and Keith driving Steve's Porsche 917:

Congratulations to the winners.
Next event's classes: The usual non-magnet cars across all eligible classes. I may in advance stipulate a few specific classes which we'll qualify and race.
Don't forget to see the updated overall fastest times and the fastest no-magnet times by driver and class to know what the benchmarks are for your cars and the updated fastest no-magnet times. Older stats can be found in the Archive area of the forum.
See you on the circuit...
