Hi Guys,
A turnout of ten drivers, which included a new FRC driver in Luke's brother-in-law Chris, proceeded to do battle in Porsche Cup, Vintage Sports and F1. Because of the large driver turnout, all classes were split into A and B sub-groups. Three races were run in all classes except F1, as time did not allow more than the two races in each F1 sub-group.
As always in Porsche Cup, with drivers having to switch cars and controllers for each race, competition was fierce. Vintage Sports too had some close races, one of which saw Nicholas' Lola T70 beat my Ferrari 275P into first place by 9 thousands of a second after 30 laps of racing! F1 should really be renamed "Indy Car" as it seems that actual F1 cars are now no longer competitive against the Scaley Dallaras. Something will probably be changed here in the near future. All the same, Nicholas and Alex each won a race in F1(A), making Nicholas' extra point for pole the championship decider. Dougie actually dominated F1(B) in an F1 car, winning all three races in the class.
This was Luke's birthday event and proceedings were temporarily suspended for him to blow out the candle on a cake to celebrate the occasion. Happy Birthday Luke!
Congratulations to the class championship winners and Alex for his Index of Performance win (by the largest margin ever!).
Next event's classes: American Muscle, GT, LMP - see the regulations here.
See you on the circuit...
Gordon

Fellas,
When racing at FRC ...
I have always been saying ~ its nice to know when one's presence is known ...
But on the 17th. March ~ a Special Thanks to everyone making it an even more special evening on my 48th. Birthday
Also noticed (brother in-law) Chirstopher's points ... Him scoring the same amount of points as I did in each grouping we raced in.
Wonder what are the chances of that happening ..
Alex, did a great job with the IP points ...
He ran pass Paul's previous 4 points (highest up to then) like if it wasn't hard to do. Paul is always doing well in IP scores, providing I don't take him out when coming out the pits
