Race report #65 - Thursday 27th January, 2011

Hi Guys,
Some fast cars and driving was the name of the game at last night's event for FRC's quickest cars, American Muscle, GT and LMP. These "open class" cars usually set the pace above all the others and despite the track being slightly slower than it has been at some past events, competition was very keen. Just looking at the qualifying times in LMP tells the story, with all eight cars being separated by less than a second.
With eight drivers present, the last two "cycled out" for each race and three races were run in each class for a total of nine races for the night. Again the new Index of Performance award highlighted the most progressive driver who in this case was also one of the class winners for the night.
Congratulations to the class championship winners and to Nicholas for his Index of Performance win.
Next event's classes: Historic Saloon, Restricted GT, Slot-It Challenge - see the regulations here (date to be announced).
See you on the circuit...
