RACE REPORT #251 - May 10th 2018 (HS, APC, VS6075)

A small turnout of four regulars arrived to do battle in our "back to the '60 and '70s" classes, Historic Saloon (HS), American Pony Car (APC) and Vintage Sports '60-'75 (VS6075). These included O'Brie, Steve, Ramesh and myself and we were joined by Dennoy who also brought his son to check out FRC and digital racing. Both appeared to enjoy the time they spent driving FRC's Porsche Cup IROC cars as they got more familiar with the challenges and rewards of driving on a digital track.

In the scheduled FRC races, competition was close, particularly in HS and APC. The two VS6075 sub-classes (Prototype and GT) were raced concurrently as is the new norm and although being enjoyable, would be more so with a full grid of six cars instead of the four that raced. Check out the results to see who dominated.

Great night of racing at FRC, despite the small driver turnout. I really enjoy these classes. Congrats to Ram on winning Historic Saloon, American Pony Car and Vintage Sport (Prototype) classes and of course, Champion Driver Of The Night accolades. Congrats also on taking Index Of Performance honours. Well done to Gordon in bringing it home for Ford in the APC Manufacturers title.
Looking forward to the next event.
