RACE REPORT #248 - March 8th 2018 (MP, RGT, RLMP)
Seven drivers turned up for our night of fast classes which featured some extremely quick machines. Despite the new "no shaking" USD rule which theoretically should have slowed the cars slightly, new overall lap records were set in all three classes run, Modified Production (MP), Restricted GT (RGT) and Restricted LMP (RLMP). The target times to aim for are now going to be harder than ever to hit, far less to beat.
This was the first event since last weekend's installation of track power kill-switches for all drivers and the new system took a little getting used to. Despite this, their function worked perfectly and definitely improved the racing for everyone.
Collection of cars in the paddock, many turned on their sides to keep tyres clean for qualifying:
Results
