Shaking cars to fall off USD block

I've been putting some thought to the logic behind shaking the USD-checking block for cars to drop away. I think it makes no sense. All it does is allow cars that have more magnetic downforce than others to compete. This is unfair to cars that do not require a shake to drop away from the block. Obviously, cars that require a shake have more downforce than those that don't, so they're illegal. What is a shake anyway? Some cars require a very slight shake while others require a hard shake. This is stupid.

I will allow shaking the block for the next event to give drivers notice, but from the first event after, shaking will no longer be allowed. The block will be held still and if the car does not drop away, it is illegal.

Hello Gordon,

That was the same reason it wasn't used in the first place ...

When you calmly mentioned to me (RD245) this suggestion by me and so long ago is being used. You had me amazed how and when it came back into play.

As you rightfully said how it makes no sense - I think with this observation/notice the method should be discarded one time.

I'd be very to go along with this. To me, the most important thing however, is that the rules, whatever they may be, are applied consistently.
