Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (7th December) for our final 2017 event. We'll be running our 2017 Group B classes - Rally Car (RC), Slot.It Challenge (SC), Formula 1 (F1). We'll run special IROC races for newcomers if we have at least two new drivers present.

We plan to start at 8:30PM sharp. Here's the usual schedule:

• Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
• 8:30 PM - Technical Inspection (excluding IROC classes).
• Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
• Post-race Technical Inspection (if required)
• After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).

I'd also like to discuss the rule change suggestions for our F1 and VS6075 classes that have been on the forum for some time now.

Key points to pass tech inspection:

• Rally Car - If visible, interior must have both driver and navigator figures (heads minimum); no traction magnets; "Magnet-effect" motors are not allowed.
• Slot.It Challenge - Group C Slot.It cars only; single standard Slot.It "non-race" magnet (the one with the grooves); Slot.It tyres.
• Formula 1 - Scalextric and Carrera F1 cars only; standard silver-can 18,000 RPM FF motor.

Will be there for sure, although as mentioned in an earlier post, I would have to leave early. If we race in the regular sequence, I'm not sure whether I'd be able to stay for F1.

You made me remember when I bought the exact Scalextric replica ~ way back in early 2002

Those where some very exciting days for me concerning 1/32 racing ..! I didn't save up enough cash ($425.00) fast enough and my wife (back then) helped me pay for it because she knew how I was bothered it was the only one in the store at the time.

Anyway - lookout for me (tomorrow) this Thursday ...
