Parc Fermé

Guys, this topic has come up before so I now want to make it official and its implementation a bit clearer.

Effective from our next event, once a car has been srutineered (passes tech inspection) it must be placed in Parc Fermé, a designated area where cars may not be worked on (other than minor things like braid adjustment, tyre cleaning and snapping motor and/or rear axle back into place). If a car needs other work done, the other drivers must be notified and the car must be re-scrutineered before being returned to parc fermé. Here's the definition of parc fermé:

A secure car park where competing cars must be left, and where no maintenance, repairs, or enhancements may be performed, for example during rest periods.

By default this is the paddock area (car park) in the inside of turn one, but can be changed if necessary from time to time, in which case all participants will be notified.

    B. Feb 2 .................... RR226 - HS, APC & VS6075
    C. Feb 16 ................... RR227 - MC, RC & SC - 1st. IROC raced
    D. Mar 2 .................... RR228 - F1, GT & LMP

    A. Mar 16 .................. RR229 - NSS, MP & RGT
    B. Mar 29 .................. RR230 - HS, APC & VS6075

    B. Jul 6 ...................... RR235 - RC, SC & F1 / MGT

Do you have any plans with the balance of (most likely) scheduled FRC Thursday racing dates for an IROC special event :?:
  • A. Aug 3
    B. Aug 17
    C. Aug 31 - Public Holiday

    A. Sep 14
    B. Sep 28

Definitely going to do the IROC special event Luke. I would ideally like if we can get a turnout of a lot of the old guys for this so I have to start contacting them and making arrangements. The plan discussed so far is to let the irregular drivers race and the regulars marshal and run the event. Debbie will be away between Friday the 18th and Sunday 27th August so it will probably have to be after that (unless we can organize it for the Saturday before she goes).

AOK Gordon,

However - I feel there's no need for a hurriedly (August) IROC special event ...

I believe it could be easily done maybe as an end of year event (or even just before) but must recommend a regular drivers race and the non-regulars marshal plus witness a spectacular event ;-)

In other words have an Opening & Main IROC Special Event ...

We can always decide which group (regulars or non-regulars) opens the event.

G M Gordon,

Yes, it's somewhat off the topic (you may think) but it's where it started & this is just an indication (alone) with 10 experience FRC names ...
  • yourself (Gordon)
    Steve
    O'Brie
    Alex
    Arden
    Ramesh
    Luke B.
    Dougie
    David aka boo
    myself (Luke)
How an IROC competition will be an excellent, dramatic and action packed occasion :D :!:

Mind you - I didn't forget other names like Peter, Keith A. and Brent (to name a few) plus others from the SSC track.

You being at the head of names - know you will agree ..!
