Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (25th May) for our 2017 Group A classes - Nissan Super Series IROC (Avg of 6 races), Modified Production (3 races), Restricted GT (3 races).

Remember that we try to start our events no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the usual schedule:

• Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
• 8:30 PM - Technical Inspection (excluding IROC classes).
• Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
• Post-race Technical Inspection (if required)
• After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).

Key points to pass tech inspection:

• Modified Production - Motors up to 23,500 RPM; no American muscle/pony cars allowed; 1.0 mm ground clearance (see the "General" section of the class regulations for a picture of how this will be checked in 2017); magnet location restriction if motor exceeds 20,000 RPM; USD rule.
• Restricted GT - Motors up to 23,500 RPM; 1.0 mm ground clearance (see the "General" section of the class regulations for a picture of how this will be checked in 2017); USD rule.

Love the saloon car photo . I always liked those BMW 1602s and 2002s. I have a 1/32 slot model of a 2002 which I've brought to FRC previously. Lovely little car (a Spirit) . Sadly not competitive in any of the classes being raced. I'm sure that the BMW marque will be represented in Mod Prod. though.
