Hi Guys,

This is the last event for American Muscle as it will be replaced by American Pony Car from 2017 onwards.

- 8:30 PM - Technical Inspection (excluding IROC classes).
- Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
- Post-race Technical Inspection (if required)
- After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
You can see the 2016 class regulations

Reality Checks
American Muscle:
Hello all,
I believe (and may stand corrected) that, this is the
49th. time in 7+ years FRC will be hosting the American Muscle racing class.
Although it is the last time for this class, check the list (I researched) of the
11 winners (in order) and the amount of times each person won totalling 48.
- 1. Alex - 2
2. Douglas - 6
3. Paul - 3
4. Nicholas E - 4
5. Brent - 7
6. Gordon - 6
7. Kyle - 2
8. Luke - 3
9. O'Brie - 1
10. Ramesh - 3
11. Luke B - 11
Also, a few race report numbers (the first being RR20 - not included) with some significant lap times set by 6 drivers (over time) in this AM class below ...
- 1. RR025 - Paul / Camaro 5.202 sec.
2. RR031 - Brent / Camaro 5.142 sec.
3. RR034 - Gordon / Boss Mustang 5.068 sec.
4. RR047 - Kyle / Boss Mustang 4.767 sec.
5. RR078 - Douglas / Camaro 4.302 sec.
6. RR154 - Arden / Camaro 4.261 sec.
Could there be a 12th
new winner and a 7th
new best lap time ... this Thursday ..

Really interesting statistical information there Luke. It would be amazing to see the sort of stats you would put together if you had the whole FRC results database at your fingertips like I do. With the help of that very database, here's a table to add to what you've put together:
As luke says, lets see if we'll have a new winner and a new best lap time this Thursday.

That's an amazing amount of info to get from the forum Luke. It must have taken quite some time. Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed Gordon and I would say, it took about 3 hours (45 mins X 4 nights) and could have been less if all the race report headings had the names of classes (e.g: AM, GT & LMP) next to them ... You strarted this new and informative method August 2014 with RR172 (NSS, RGT) and it was easy from there pulling info.
Nonetheless it's always relaxing while browsing the FRC forum for the wealth of slotcar racing results among other slot car topics
What was amazing to me though - seeing how you were the only one in 2013 to 2016 to have
put a dent (so to say) in L and R impressive and consecutive AM championships ..!
