Guys,

Following are the remaining event dates and classes for 2016, assuming we don't have any cancellations:
  • 22/9/16 - NSS, RC
  • 6/10/16 - MP, F1
  • 20/10/16 - AM, GT, LMP
  • 3/11/16 - MGT, RGT
  • 17/11/16 - HS, VS, SC
  • 1/12/16 - MC, RC
  • 15/12/16 - MP, F1 (or a special event to end the year)
Let's get your feedback/suggestions.

Gordon

This schedule is fine with me.
Three of these events involve our IROC cars.It would be nice if (due to TSCC's track being out of commission for a while) we could get some of the non-regular TSCC guys to take part in a few of these events. It would also be great if we could get Rocky and his guys to participate. I know that Rocky and Edward are aware of FRC's activities but maybe we could ask Rocky to invite some of his regulars to at least observe our racing. This may encourage them to participate.

Check this out Gordon,

FRC's Last Event for the year is going on 8 years strong and (maybe) this eight one on 15/12/2016 ...
  • 1. 2009 Last Event - 28/12/09 ....................... RR33 ..... GT and LMP
    2. 2010 Last Event - 27/12/10 ....................... RR61 ..... AM, GT and LMP
    3. 2011 Last Event - 15/12/11 ....................... RR91 ..... AM, GT and LMP
    4. 2012 Last Event - 27/12/12 ....................... RR113 ... LS F-R and PC
    5. 2013 Last Event - 30/12/13 ....................... RR152 ... MGT Team, MC and FC
    6. 2014 Last Event - 11/12/14 ....................... RR182 ... VSIROC
    7. 2015 Last Event - 26/11/15 ....................... RR205 ... NSS and SC
    8. 2016 Last Event - 03/12/16 ....................... RD224 ... Formula Libre Handicap Event
Here's what I am putting forward ~ you keep the racing event very simple and with the regular (MP and F1) class grouping ... Depending of course and with your normal emails, racing posts/polls on the forum and text messaging activities if people interested, they will gather round like moths to a flame.

Now if there's a good size turnout on that day. Sure you know you have more than enough racing (fire) power available at FRC - for all to have a great and entertaining night of slot-car racing.

I think "we" had enough solid ground work (experience) asking, telling and finding out who will be racing at these sort of race meets. So this in mind with this well known attraction (end of year racing event) let it be the other way around for welcome persons :)

How this sounding?

The 8 years works out to 33 + 28 + 30 + 22 + 39 + 30 + 23 + (20 not fixed atm) per year and a grand total 225 events.

A largest number of (39) race meetings being held in 2013 and the most compact (20 tentative) in 2016 ;-)

Reread my post this morning Gordon and lol ~ it is somewhat baffling and for what it's worth want to take a chance to simplify what I put forward with FRC (last event for the year) race day on a Thursday night and all persons working the next morning ...

Keep it (2016 Last Event - 15/12/16 ...... RD225 ... MP and F1 classes) Simple ...

This should be easy for all to understand :-)

Have a nice day,

Luke

Now that's a lot clearer Luke :)

As we get closer to the last event date, we can always make changes. For example, we may want to run a special event and / or do the event on a Saturday. We can discuss it more as the time approaches.

Glad to know Gordon and fyi ~ have always considered myself to be more of a clear minded and thinking person in the AM.

In other words ~ a morning person :D

That said and just for the sake of knowing - the day all (end of year) events was held.
  • 1. 2009 Last Event - RR33 ...... Monday 28/12/09
    2. 2010 Last Event - RR61 ...... Monday 27/12/10
    3. 2011 Last Event - RR91 ...... Thursday 15/12/11
    4. 2012 Last Event - RR113 .... Thursday 27/12/12
    5. 2013 Last Event - RR152 .... Monday 30/12/13
    6. 2014 Last Event - RR182 .... Thursday 11/12/14
    7. 2015 Last Event - RR205 .... Thursday 26/11/15
    8. 2016 Last Event - RD224 .... Saturday 03/12/16
So an end of year FRC event on a Saturday (above in blue) will be a first ...

Kind of remember posting something like this somewhere on the forum but ... here it is again.

Ain't it cool how slotcar racing (days) have been going anyway?

Hi Steve ~ your idea sounding good but how about the other way around?

Here's an example for the ideal racing suggestion!

Like how TSCC ~ Arden, Ramesh and Luke B. (plus others) was invited to FRC ...

Then how FRC ~ You, Gordon (plus others) and me was to TSCC ...

The rest being history ;-)

So how about arranging an event (possibly with anyone of our 4 IROC classes) with Damain, Edward and Rocky for a grand Special (end of year) Event at their (Rocky's Revenge) circuit for FRC & TSCC regulars to have a racing exhibition with all persons taking part .. :?:

Sure you know all participants will certainly enjoy themselves .. :!:
