Proposal for racing procedure change

Hi all,
in recent times, when there has been a lack (or absence) of track marshals, we have adopted a procedure whereby if a car de-slots, the de-slotted driver calls 'track' and all drivers immediately come to a stop. The de-slotted car is ten re-slotted and the race continues after a command by driver of the now re-slotted car. This system has been working fairly well but, as brought up by Alex last night, it does not allow much opportunity for a slower car to do well in a race. The reason is that the faster car/driver combinations would qualify at the front of the grid and when the race starts, barring some sort of mechanical failure, would naturally stay in front due to their speed. If such a car/driver de-slots, instead of the following, slower cars having an opportunity to make up ground and possibly passing the stricken car, they have to wait behind until he is re-slotted and then all re-start together. Again, the faster cars will pull away from the slower ones .
I would like to propose a change to the current procedure to avoid this. My suggestion is as follows:
-When a car de-slots, the driver of the de-slotted car calls 'track' and all cars come to a stop (same as currently applies)
-The de-slotted car is now replaced on the track at the back of the last car that is on the same portion of the track, in this case, 'portion of the track' meaning the track from the location of the de-slot BACK towards the start/finish line, in such a way that no advantage is gained.
-The race will re-start in the current manner.
If this is adopted, I think it would give the drivers of slower but possibly more stable cars a fighting chance of race victory.
What are your thoughts ?
