Great afternoon/evening of fun at FRC. The lime was good and made even more enjoyable with the lovely food. Thanks to all who contributed. Thanks to Alex for starting the fire for the grill and demonstrating his highly effective 'volcano' technique ! The vintage Scalextric cars on display, courtesy Luke and Gordon, were a treat to behold. The detail on these is truly awesome. The racing was really tight and lots of fun (as anticipated) with various marques , viz. Nissan, Toyota, Lancia and Mazda being represented. Too bad we didn't get to see O'Brie's Mazda race as the car apparently needed some fettling . Congrats to Ramesh on his victory.
Looking forward to the next event.
Steve

Hi guys what a nice way to spend an afternoon with friends slot car racing and BBQ . The day ran smoothly and we all were relaxed without the pressure of leaving because it was getting late . I especially enjoyed the racing because Steve and Gordon got their Nissans working well and if i made a slip they would get pass. Also i took note of both Jon and Luke T were right there waiting on errors , Obre will get his mazda tune ed soon enough, this class always proves to be very close as the cars are spec regulated. As we have always been trying to encourage new people to start tuning and building in this class. Unfortunately we did not see the turnout that was expected and this is a good time to look at our progress. What are our racing future goals? GREAT RACING GUYS, see you all at Wallerfield on Sunday for circuit racing action.
