Great night of racing as usual at FRC, made even better by the surprise celebration of Luke's birthday. Nice to see us having enough drivers to actually have 'A' and 'B' groups in some classes. Too bad O'Brie's Historic Saloon Escort suffered severe pre-race damage and was not able to compete. Hopefully this situation will be rectified by the next event for this class. Despite the relatively good performance (other than having an axle issue in the last race and having to retire) of my Mustang, I'd like to race something else at the next event so hopefully the grid wouldn't look like an American Muscle one !
Looking forward to the next event.

To Gordon, Ramesh, Arden, Steve, Luke B., Jon, Damian, Rocky, O'Brie, Keith A. and Jonathan.

Thanks for celebrating my 53rd. B/Day at FRC ... and also to Mrs. Bhola sending such a nice tasting chocolate B/day cake.

Sorry I couldn't partake in any of the main racing ... Even though it was still exciting to watch (and marshal) how close the racing was in each category.

However, I still got a chance (with a sponsored - Ramesh's car) to enjoy a Group B - SC race. The score sheet shows, it was a blast trying to keep Arden from an overall win.

Interestingly enough, I must mention that I remember and appreciated this sort of celebration (exactly 4 years ago) at FRC ... and also how Mrs. Gonsalves provided a B/day cake.
I did partake in all the racing that day and strangely enough, back then it was also 3 exciting racing classes but it wasn't so (different and) refined as today ...

About those Scalextric trucks that was next to the cake and ice cream ...

For persons not present - one truck was fitted earlier with a DPR chip to have a go on the SSD FRC circuit. The only bad part though and being the driver, I completely forgot about the height of the Dunlop Bridge and the truck cabin was so high - I dint realize it couldn't pass under until it (the truck) came to an abrupt stop ... knocking the top of the Dunlop sign. All the same - the guys present (Gordon, Steve, O'brie, Jonathan and myself) had a great LOL ...

I must mention (with last pic) how bright the Boss Mustang and Porsche 911 slotcars are looking on the infield of the Carousel bend.

Thanks again for all the friendly company and the fantastic 132 racing activities through the years.
