FRC Thoughts Mid-2017

Morning Gordon,

Have a feeling you may or may not be too pleased with previous reply :-/

This is all I'm simply putting across and the only factor to consider is time, which really isn't an issue.

Check why:

List of only Non-IROC A, B, C & D groupings (for a 3rd. and final round) with the GT & LMP classes in particular to maybe finish off in July.

• A. MP & RGT (already ran off ~ RR233)
  
  B. HS, APC & VS6075
  C. RC & SC
  D. F1, GT & LMP

List of only Non-IROC A, B & C groupings (for a 1st. round start) with the new RLMP class, to maybe begin racing (first Thursday) in August.

• A. HS, APC & VS6075
  B. RC, SC & F1
  C. MP, RGT & RLMP

Its just a difference of 1 month (one round into the other) for a simple transition with the new grouping proposal.

How am I sounding with early morning thoughts

Luke, right now we have a very, very small group of regular drivers. Here are the guys that have raced since the 1st April this year and the number of races they have done:

• Steve (30)
  Ramesh (30)
  Gordon (30)
  O’brie (21)
  Luke (21)
  Peter (12)
  Keith A (3)

Of these, only the top four are preparing cars for our events. In my view if these guys want to adopt the changes I've suggested right away, why put it off?

Very well Gordon and for such an enlightening reminder - driver numbers, races and who's doing what - for guys taking to your new idea immediately.

It's all good how the suggestion is going into effect.

No problems with me starting a new schedule mid season. The GT and LMP classes have become a bit redicolous with unlimited mag. Pertaining to IROC I enjoy the balance of it but I think we have to condense it a bit only because we do not have the time to run so many races in one night! Particularly with work the next day. I have no doubt that that is a factor in our very low turnout, I took several years before I could restructure my work load to accommodate a Thursday night off. My kids have left home etc, this is a major factor in my decision. I have no doubt that some of the new guys with young children have been read the "riot act" by the authorities and had to scale back their participation. We need to ask a few of them and change our schedule to accomidate their possible return. Just a thought

Hi guys , we all agree that the Thursday night passesby so quickly, so i do agree in dropping the iroc classes because it takes too long , for me its really a entry levle type of racing which i feel is better suited for new comers.IROC type races has its place,i just do see it being necessary at this time for me.Thanks

Gordon i am good with your suggestions, i have learnt by racing at FRC to appreciate driving low DF cars , and this i thank you guys for you have made me a much better builder by giving me the opportunity to try out so much more brands of slot cars and parts. Also with all of the changes i was able to adapt quickly. So much so, i have encouraged our guys in south to start racing a Daytona prototype class and Group 5 like racer sideways, angle winder class. i am doing some testing to work out the final car set up. .I have ordered all the pieces to put together the Goodspeed track UP. The board will be built by next wk. by month end i want to be running. I hope to see you all racing with us soon.ITS OVER 100 FT PER LANE.

Ram, that's great news about the track. Shall I post a teaser layout for the boys to see?
