I am okay with starting the new sequence from the next event (although it means that the first two groupings would involve classes which were very recently run), but like Gordon's idea of alternating between Mixed GT and Scalextric GT for that particular grouping.

New Class Grouping Suggestion
Re: New Class Grouping Suggestion
A. Mixed GT or SGTC IROC's - RGT ~ Lap Times: 6.295/7.433 - 5.038
B. Historic Saloon - Vintage Sports - Group 5 Sport Car ~ Lap Times: 6.439 - 5.539 - 5.637
C. Mini Challenge IROC - Rally Car ~ Lap Times: 8.179 - 8.406
D. Modified Production - F1 ~ Lap Times: 4.849 - 4.643
E. Nissan GT-R Super Series IROC - Slot.It Challenge ~ Lap Times: 7.613 - 5.376
F. AM - GT - LMP ~ Lap Times: 4.261 - 4.313 - 3.947
_________________________________________________________________________
You're right Steve & above, a neat looking bunch of racing events plus their respective lap times again
I believe, once (Gordon's idea) MGT or SGTC IROC's & RGT opening the competition, it will be a exciting start to the FRC racing cycle. Groups B, C & F is probably G2G - D is fine (maybe) because of lap times and E is similar to group A racing ... Hope all those letters didn't give you a headache or even having a pack of alphabet soup later hehe ...
All in all, changes could still be made if needed because its not only my input but you and Gordon as well ~ others can also get involved - right South Boys
Seriously though - the 3 well spaced out IROC events are exactly right, to help with inviting new persons aboard FRC for some of our friendly racing competitions.
Plus - look how we can still have a Tuning Event night, when we want for a Group G

Re: New Class Grouping Suggestion
Hi all, a blessed Sunday to everyone , the groupings are fine with me once we finish up on time , i do have a suggestion though, since we are asking guys out to race and they are not coming , can we then invite guys to marshall then , this might be an activity that they love, and we can help them be the best that they can be.bye Ramesh
Re: New Class Grouping Suggestion
A blessed Sunday to you also Ramesh & hope its fine taking the liberty here,
Reminding you the way in which Gordon will have the races running off with groups B & F (3 classes instead of the normal 2) it should finish within the (3 races instead of the normal 5) same timing.
Also, its kind of you helping people be the best they can be but you can lead a horse to the water ... ent
Sorry to say though - its sort of hard finding persons to partake in the racing, let alone marshalling

Re: New Class Grouping Suggestion
GG,
Happy Carnival Tuesday
Regarding FRC Class Groupings - and not that it isn't excellent as it already is but an evaluation in any event.
Here is something I thought about when the USD rule came about ... and I would like to make an interesting (if I do say so myself) suggestion
Would you consider (and of course others agreeing) swapping RGT with the F1 class ..?

• Historic Saloon

• Group 5 Sports Cars
• Mini Challenge IROC
• Rally Car
• Mod Production ...... Car must not be able to magnetically adhere to a standard track piece upside down.
• Restricted GT ......... Car must not be able to magnetically adhere to a standard track piece upside down.
• Nissan GT-R Super Series IROC
• Slot.It Challenge
• American Muscle
• GT
• LMP

Re: New Class Grouping Suggestion
Luke, why do you feel that this should affect the current class groupings? It's just that these two classes have that requirement. As it stands we may change the G5SC to have the same requirement in the near future and then they'll be three classes with the requirement.
Re: New Class Grouping Suggestion
I really didn't think about anything being affected here GG but yes, how those 2 classes with same USD rule - maybe together for same event. I did remember about the G5SC class and same rule soon ...
... and to tell you the truth because of this carnival long weekend ~ made sure I had lots of time chilling out @ home with the family & the forum too
